ALEI VERSPOOR STUDIO

"Shifting Tables" is a set of three nesting tables.

The tabletops interact with each other to create layered complex patterns that change and evolve depending on the position of the tables.
The construction of the tabletops is inspired on the idea of an embroidery ring, so the printed silk sheets are easy to change.

Shifting tables is part of an ongoing colaboration between Jungin Lee and Alei Verspoor. They met during their studies at the RCA in London. Now based in London and Amsterdam, they explore the possibilities of combining their core design skills of woodworking and textiles in new ways.
